Progress Affecting Issues

Covid-19 became a recognized problem in Bangladesh. Since the 1^st week of March 2020 until today, previously the Government of Bangladesh through the Cabinet Ministry had issued numerous strict circulations declaring movement restrictions until the 31^st of August 2020. However, from the 01^st of September 2020 onwards, the Government of Bangladesh has lifted the movement restrictions. Both contractors of package Lot 1 & 2 have issued a Notice of ‘Force Majeure’ and Letter for Extension of Time. In spite of COVID-19 continuously spreading around the world and including Bangladesh and with significant impact on the construction work activities, both the contractor’s packages Lot 1 & 2 keep providing their best effort for works progress.

Health Protocols and Safe Work Procedures are being implemented. Despite the continued COVID-19 Pandemic, the work progress achieved by both contractors is now consistently increasing.
